Artist's Comments

Carved from Pernambuco (from Brazil) about 3" tall to be used for a walking stick/cane top. This a very dense and hard wood.

Wow, that's 3" tall? Amazing detail. Awesome work. Looks like it could be the top of Saruman's staff or something. ^_^

A very good word I must say; I must also make the following questions, if I may so:

How long did you work on that?
Does it have a texture or it only seems to have due the picture?
If it does how did you managed it?

I would appreciate very much your answers and further comments.

Thanks!
As far as length of time I'm unsure but it wasn't quick definately over 10 hours, it is super hard wood.
And no there is no texture I think what you are seeing is the face is actually the end grain.
This may have been the hardest wood that I have carved it was more difficult due to it beeing end grain.
